In the Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms for 2018 provided by Gartner, the M-Files system ranks as a visionary with a large potential for leadership.
Author of the Report defines Content Services Platforms as a set of services and microservices, embodied as an integrated product suite and applications that share common APIs and repositories, to exploit diverse content types and to serve multiple constituencies and numerous use cases across an organization.
According to the authors of the Report, the M-Files system is ahead of Nuxeo and Objective. As the biggest advantages, Gartner highlighted that a cloud-based services offered by M-Files, have a full feature parity with its on-premises products. SaaS service, which automatically updates while new version is available, was also mentioned as an added value of the system. Users appreciated the M-Files CSP offer, which they described as relatively easy to implement. Moreover, they were positive about professional services of M-Files, and a wide partner network, which effectively affects the delivery of services.
